About Our Pricing
All prices shown are starting rates. The final price for your dog's groom depends on a number of factors:
- Breed and body size
- Coat length and coat type
- Coat condition, including matting or heavy knots, which may require additional dematting time
- Your dog's behaviour during the groom
We will always confirm the final price with you before we begin. There are no surprises. If you have questions about pricing for your dog's specific breed or coat condition, give us a call on 0455 492 337 and we'll be happy to help.
How often should I groom my dog?
The right frequency depends on your dog's breed, coat type, and lifestyle. As a general guide: dogs with continuously growing coats (Poodles, Doodles, Maltese) benefit from a groom every 6–8 weeks to prevent matting. Dogs with double coats (Golden Retrievers, Huskies) benefit from a professional de-shed every season to manage coat health and reduce shedding at home. Short-coated breeds can go longer between grooms but still benefit from a regular bath and brush. Not sure what's right for your dog? Give us a call and we'll advise you based on your dog's specific needs.
Is my dog's coat too matted to groom?
Heavily matted coats require additional dematting time and may affect the final price. In severe cases, the most humane option is a short clip-down to remove the matting and allow the coat to grow back healthy. We will always discuss the options with you before proceeding. Regular grooming and brushing at home is the best way to prevent matting and keep coat health in good condition between visits.
